ECOrasmus : project summary and call for applications

One of the objectives of the European Youth Strategy is to “achieve a society in which all young people are environmentally active, educated and able to make a difference in their everyday lives.”

While the current climate movements show that young people are a great asset in moving towards environmental and sustainable development, many current educational practices reveal gaps in this area.

This is particularly true of European internships or exchanges, which often involve air travel, a meat-based diet and a lot of wasted printed material.

Youth organisations across Europe therefore need to review their practices and strengthen their use of environmental principles at work.

At the same time, in the age of ‘social distancing’, many educators are forced to think about how to create effective and entertaining blended or online learning programmes.

In this context, Ecorasmus aims to train and empower young people and youth leaders to improve the quality, innovation and recognition of their work, and to move towards a “sustainable green Europe“.
